Hi All
Stopped for lunch today in Castrojeriz, 20 kms in and another 10 to the next town and I will be 450kms to Santiago according to my guide book. I had planned to yesterday to take a bus from Burgos to Leon, but that decision was not sitting well with me I did not start this walk to skip a section and the bus was a good option if i was struggling or behind my schedule. I,m feeling strong and doing well. Once I made the decision I felt great.
So yesterday at noon I headed out and then after 10 kms the rain started (just as I got onto the plains) but the poncho kept me dry. I stayed in Hornillos del Camino last night and had a great dinner with a couple fellow Canadians.
Today its been cloudy, windy and at times rainy but I,m loving the walk and good coffee always helps. This morning I put my feet into a spring that is said to provide healing and strong feet onto Santiago. I also went past ruins of a hospital pics coming soon. Heading onto Itero del Castillo this afternoon.
Not much wifi on the plains but you never know where you will find it.
